Belinda is a translator and linguist by profession who is passionate about languages and communication. She holds a Master’s degree in Translation from York University. As a mother of two daughters, she is committed to issues that disproportionately affect girls and women, particularly in her native country of Burundi. She strongly believes that empowering girls and women is a key contributor to the economic development of a country. Those women can then take on leadership roles and become role models for the younger generation.
Haguruka is a non-profit organization, based in Toronto (Canada) that strives to financially and socially empower women in Burundi, and support women in need in the diaspora in Canada.
